When you want abs, but you NEED tacos, enter the low carb taco solution! Swapping a tortilla for a lettuce wrap is a quick and easy way to feed your craving when you want to try and stay on your health goals. Still just as delicious (well, it gets pretty dang close), but it won’t throw you off track! You can swap the hamburger for any sort of protein: ground turkey if you’re limiting red meat intake, shrimp for yummy baja tacos, or even soyrizo (soy chorizo) for my vegetarian friends.

Instructions
- Dice onion, tomato, and cilantro. Remove leaves of lettuce from the head and wash, set aside.
- Place hamburger in a large skillet heated over medium heat. Add taco seasoning and pepper. Use a wooden spatula to break hamburger into small crumbles. Cook for about 5 - 8 minutes until browned. If there's extra grease in the pan, drain as much of it out as possible. Add 1/4 cup of water and stir, cooking 1 - 2 more minutes.
- Assemble lettuce leaves on a plate and fill with meat, onion, tomato, cilantro, cheese, and hot sauce of choice.
