What makes this burger a Cali burger? Well, it’s made out of turkey instead of beef for starters. Also, there’s avocado on it too. So yeah dude, it’s a Cali burger. The turkey is extra juicy and tender, with a gooey blanket of pepper jack cheese. If you want to go extra California style and cut some carbs (or gluten) serve on a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. Serve with sweet potato fries to make it a meal!

Instructions
- Half your avocados and scoop the avocado into a medium bowl, discarding the skin and pit. Add lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste. Set aside. Slice red onion and tomato. Remove lettuce leaves from head of lettuce.
- Add ground turkey to a medium bowl, add 1 egg, worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp garlic salt, and pepper. Using your hands, mix well to combine. Form six patties using your hands. They should be somewhat thin, about 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick.
- Using a medium skillet heated over medium heat, lightly grease with cooking spray. Place hamburger buns insides down, and toast for 1 - 2 minutes. Set buns aside.
- Add 2 patties to the medium large skillet, heated over medium heat and lightly greased with cooking spray. Add a sprinkle of garlic salt and pepper to top of patties once on the stove. Cook patties for about 2 minutes and flip. Add 1 slice of pepper jack cheese and cover pan with a lid. Cook for 2 more minutes, until cheese is melted and the patty is not pink.
- Assemble your burgers. Add 1 patty to bun, top with lettuce, tomato, onion, and avocado.
